According to a 2025 Dana-Farber Cancer Institute study, one in three families of a child battling cancer experience catastrophic income loss during treatment — losing a quarter or more of their household income.
The Grand Adventure offers these families an entirely free source of emotional, social, and psychological support throughout that journey. Our programs build resilience, community, and fortitude when families need it most.

Such generosity helps us to cover critical program costs such as participant travel expenses, patient-alumni mentor stipend, adventure provider fees, technology, meals, facility fees,and healing activity items, travel funds, meals, and tuition support. No donation in any way could ever be too small or too big, as we provide all services at no cost, with every amount directly allocated to program and participant support.
